Marlin Ouverson is the owner of Pan-Pacific Web Works and its sister company External Design.

In early Silicon Valley, Marlin was the editor of then-influential Dr. Dobb’s Journal, a magazine serving the new computer-developer community. Since then, he has continued to design and edit websites, books, and technical documentation from his offices in California and Hawaii.

Recently, a satcom firm contracted with Marlin to design the controls — the user interface and “user experience,” or UX — used to operate large satellite-tracking antennas. The successful project resulted in a new generation of controllers for the satcom industry and the client’s flagship product has spawned a growing line of products.
